Urgent: Demand That Candidates Tell Us Where They Stand on Public Education
Last week, presidential candidates Bernie Sanders put forward the most comprehensive, pro-public education platform that we have seen so far. Senator Sanders did what no other candidate has been willing to do — take on the charter industry.
It is time for the others to stop ignoring K-12 education and tell us where they stand on issues of privatization and K-12 funding. Which candidate will be the next to stand up to the charter lobby? Who else will declare that they are an advocate of true public schools?
We need your help to make that happen. Below are 7 clickable tweets. All you need to do is log onto your twitter account and then click and send. If you follow the link here and beneath the tweets, you will find even more. Send tweets to other candidates as well. You can find their twitter handles below and on our website.
If you would like to tweet the other candidates, their twitter handles are below. You will also find them here along with additional tweets for the candidates.
