Note Regarding Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam for Governor of Virginia
At the time NPE Action endorsed Ralph Northam, no one knew that he had posed in offensive racist photographs when he was a college student in the 1980s. Had we known, we would not have endorsed him. Governor Northam must now be judged by the actions he takes to advance racial and social justice on behalf of the African American citizens of Virginia.
