NPE Action Endorses Lori Kirkpatrick for Dallas School Board

NPE Action is proud to give its endorsement to Lori Kirkpatrick, candidate for the Dallas Independent School District, District 2. Unlike her opponent who sends his children to private school, Lori is a proud public school parent.

When we asked her why she is running, Lori said the following, “I’m running for the preservation and reinvigoration of public education. I want every child in my community regardless of zip code, economic disadvantage or learning difference to have an equal and quality educational opportunity.”

Lori does not support vouchers and rejects the A-F school grading system. She believes that there should be a moratorium on charter schools and wants full transparency on charter spending. She is opposed to the Common Core and over-testing.
