NPE Action endorses Jennifer Jacobsen for Fairfield School Board
The Network for Public Education Action is endorsing Jennifer Jacobsen in the race for Fairfield, Connecticut School Board.
Jennifer has a Master’s Degree in Education/School Counseling, and has 20 years of experience in education. She started her career as an Elementary School Counselor, and went on to own and operate a state licensed home based early childhood program. She now has three children in Fairfield schools where she has been an active volunteer.
Jennifer also led a successful statewide grassroots coalition that secured passage of Connecticut’s first student data privacy law – Public Act 16-189 – which took effect on October 1, 2016.
Jennifer told us that for the last 11 years she has advocated within the community in support of the district’s budget. Jennifer is confident that those years of school finance experience will help her put Fairfield’s kids and their needs first when it comes time to balance the district’s budget.
