After the passage of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), NPE Action President Diane Ravitch began a dialogue with Senator Lamar Alexander’s office. Sen. Alexander was one of the chief architects of the new law. Diane asked a series of questions that cover the breadth and scope of ESSA, from testing to charter schools to Common Core – and Sen.
